In this series we look at 4 different heart attitudes that are displeasing to our Heavenly Father, yet professing believers exhibit too often in their lives. Over a 4 week period, we consider Spiritual Indifference, Hollow Worship, Lack of Gratitude and Hypocrisy. We pray that this series will help us to overcome these all to common faults in the personal lives of many individuals.
Everything is pure to those whose hearts are pure. But nothing is pure to those who are corrupt and unbelieving, because their minds and consciences are corrupted. Such people claim they know God, but they deny him by the way they live. They are detestable and disobedient, worthless for doing anything good. Titus 1:15-16 (NLT)
Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused. Romans 1:21 (NLT)
‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship is a farce, for they teach man-made ideas as commands from God.’” Matthew 15:8-9 (NLT)
Today’s special service inter-mixed worship music with the message. Our music list included: Bound For Glory, Even So Come, All The People Said Amen, Jesus Only You, Alive In You, I Got Saved, I Surrender All and Call It Grace.
“I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth! Revelation 3:15-16 (NLT)
